Easier international shipping from Amazon

"Amazon Global takes the guesswork and heavy lifting out of international shipping." New to Amazon.com is the section Amazon Global, where you can view the products available to international customers. Word is that upon check out you will be given an estimation of tax and duty to take the guesswork out of your order. Anything that makes online shopping easier for Canadians makes me happy!!

Here's the link to the site!

Childrens Place clearance deals

Childrens Place is clearing out their summer goodies, 5.99 an item! Not sure for long they do price adjustments, but if you've bought anything there lately, consider trying to get a PA.

When you are at the Gap this weekend...

If you go to the Gap this weekend for Give and Get, ask about the 40% off coupon at the till if you aren't given one automatically. I'm not sure what the criteria are to get one, I had heard about it from other sources and saw the stack next to the register last night when we went in. I asked about them while checking out and she handed me one, I think she just forgot. It's for 40% off one regular priced item Aug 28-Sept 3. Pretty nice if you ask me!

Regular exclusions apply, cannot be used on product red, junk food, converse, robeez , strollers, diaper bags etc. Can however be used on adult, kids or body, and there is no statement excluding gift cards!

Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic sale

This weekend save 30% at the Gap family of stores when you present the Give and Get coupon - http://i29.tinypic.com/qmx20i.jpg aptly named because for every purchase, Gap will contribute 5% to a chosen charity. The charities are chosen by the employee who has passed on the coupon.

Anyways, a great deal! Valid on sale items too so you could get some real steals! Start shopping for next year maybe?

The Back to School sale is going on currently, how it works is that items priced within certain ranges will be lowered to a certain price. See below:

$12 - regular price $14-$22
$18 - regular price $25-$30
$25 - regular price $33-$49

If you would like to peruse the website to make your shopping list, basically if you add 30% to the prices on there (yes, that much!) then you will have a rough estimate of how much items will be in store in Canada. Then refer to the chart above and then you know how much you're going to be paying and can start making your shopping list!

Testing, testing, one, two, three.

Here's my very first post, ladies and gentlemen. (wait, who am I kidding, it's a blog about shopping! I'd be shocked to get a male reader besides my husband) I don't promise this blog to be updated daily, though the iPhone app should help with that, I do promise to try and keep you updated with sale information with a very definite Canadian slant, and definitely geared towards shopping for young children.

I am Shelley, mother of two little girls, Julia who is one, and Maya who is three. They keep me busy, and my shopping and Internet addictions keep me entertained. I read a lot of shopping information from flyers to shopping blogs and forums. I have a lot of what people would call useless information in my head, but I'd like to put it to use somehow. Enter this blog!

I hope you enjoy, and I hope I can help you spend your money ;)

And a pic, since it is my first post to this blog and my first post using new software so I should really try it all out, right? This is my youngest, Julia, wearin her new Croc knockoffs from Costco.
